Terms & Conditions

Template status: This is a starter template and should be reviewed and personalised before you trade. Replace all text in CAPITALS.

1. Who we are

These terms apply to services supplied by YOUR FULL LEGAL NAME, trading as DB Web & Hosting, of YOUR SERVICE ADDRESS. Contact: YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS.

2. Services

We provide website design, managed website hosting, website maintenance and related digital services as described on the order page or quotation.

3. Orders and payment

An order is accepted when payment is successfully made or when we send written acceptance. Recurring hosting is billed at the interval shown at checkout until cancelled. Any setup, website-build, domain or third-party charges must be shown separately before purchase.

4. Hosting

Hosting is supplied using third-party infrastructure. We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability unless a specific written service level has been agreed. Planned maintenance, provider outages, internet failures and circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect availability.

5. Customer responsibilities

Customers must provide accurate contact details, keep login credentials secure, maintain lawful website content and comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. Customers must not use the service for unlawful, abusive, infringing or malicious activity.

6. Backups

Where backups are included, they are a recovery aid rather than a guarantee against all data loss. Important business data should also be retained independently by the customer.

7. Domains

Unless expressly included, domain registration and renewal are charged separately. The customer is responsible for supplying accurate registrant details and paying renewal charges on time.

8. Website design

The package description or written quotation defines included pages, features and revisions. Additional work may be quoted separately. The customer confirms they have permission to use all supplied text, logos, images and other content.

9. Suspension

We may temporarily suspend a service where reasonably necessary for security, non-payment, legal compliance, serious misuse or to protect other customers. Where practical we will contact the customer first.

10. Cancellation and termination

Customers can request cancellation using the contact details above. Consumer cancellation rights are described separately in our Cancellations & Refunds page. We will explain any final billing and data-export arrangements that apply.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect losses or losses caused by customer content, third-party services or events outside our reasonable control.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes affecting an existing recurring service will be communicated where reasonably required.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law applicable to YOUR UK JURISDICTION. Consumer customers retain any mandatory rights available to them.
